#206 Illinois Terminal Railroad

Operated in service from November 16, 1939 to May 24, 1953
Is third railbus on this line and the last one
Original school bus was converted by Illinois Terminal for use as a railbus
Custom real axle with flanged railroad profile wheels
Four wheel railroad front truck replacing normal front axle
Operated from Alton IL to Grafton IL
Trip took about 45 minutes
Many of the riders were studinets at Principia Collage in Elsah Il
Nicknamed "The Dinky"

Built - White Motor Company 1939 “Rail Motorbus”
Engine - gas strait in-line 6 cyl
Engine needs a head gasket and a starter
Electrical - 6 volt dc system


Donated to Museum Of Transportation in 1953 by Illini Railroad Club
