This 2-10-0 Decapod type freight locomotive was built by Baldwin Locomotive
Works for Imperial Russia which contracted with Baldwin in 1915 for some
1,200 locomotives. Twenty of them were purchased by the "Frisco" and
changes were made to meet American standards including widening the
wheel tread to accommodate the 3 ½" gauge difference. Number 1621
has 52" drivers and weighs 362,100 lbs. It was donated to the museum in
1961 by Eagle Picher Industries.
