#2847 Walbash Caboose


Built -1952 by the Wabash Railroad

The #2847 was the 68th of 70 cabooses built by the railroad between 1945 and 1952 at their shops in Decatur, Illinois.

The caboose, was at the home of Vance Lischer Jr., 535 Dielman Road in Olivette, almost 20 years.

Moved to MOT March 2013

Cost to move about $22,000 of which $10,000 was donated by a interested party to help in the moving of the caboose, rest paid by MOT.
