Mike Caramanna, who was born and raised in northern New Jersey, photographed all the railroads in that area. This included the Lehigh Valley while he was in school there through the late 1960s. His shots of the Lehigh Valley show classic scenery and offer insight into the RR's operations. Lehigh Valley RR, which went to NJ's big three cities of Jersey City (its port), Newark (yard) and Patterson (junctions), entered Conrail in 1976. Mike's career included Terminal and District Management for the IC, ICG, BN and Class One truck lines. Time permitting he may have views of the Pacific MO quarry steam in action.
