This 2-8-2 USRA light Mikado Type freight locomotive
was built by Lima Locomotive Works in 1928. During WWI the United States
Railroad Administration developed standards for Mikado built. It was
considered the work horse of the railroads. During WWII the name was
changed to Mac Arthur because of the war with Japan . Number 551 was
donated in 1955 by the Chicago & Illinois Midland railroad.
